Bingo games to support events at Cenotaph Park

Cenotaph Park has been a source of entertainment in the last time with the Downtown Vernon Association’s recent series of concerts and other events that take place in the green space located across from the Greyhound bus depot on 31st Avenue.

Counting on the support of Greater Vernon Services, the DVA has started Tuesdays in the Trees, a series of concerts in the park, not to be confused with the already existing Civic Sounds concerts that are performed on Thursday evenings in front of the Vernon library and museum.

With the intention of raising funds to support the Cenotaph events, the DVA has associated with Katimavik, a young adult service program, in order to host several bingo games to take place at the Let the Good Times Roll Downtown Show and Shine.

“All proceeds will go to funding for Cenotaph Park to continue entertainment and programming in the park,” DVA marketing manager Alicia Kay said. “We welcome everyone to come down and play in support of keeping events in Cenotaph Park.”
