Two gunmen robbed volunteers cleaning up after an evening bingo social at the El Sobrante Boys & Girls Club on Monday night, taking at least $800 in cash after forcing two victims into a closet.Nobody was hurt, said Contra Costa sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee. The victims reported the incident at 10:23 p.m., minutes after the robbers left, but deputies found no suspicious people or cars in the area.

Man Arrested at Nevada's Casino
Timothy Hillenbranda was sentenced to two years of prison after being caught with $25.000 in cocaine, ecstasy and marihuana, drugs he was planning to sell at the Nevada casino he was staying at.
The District Judge showed compassion towards the man -whose parents and foster parents assisted the trial- because he sentenced him to only two years. Hillenbrand had a clean record before being captured.
Bingo robbers moved quickly
Out in the main hall at Oldemeyer Center in Seaside, the bingo caller and most of the players had no idea of the drama unfolding in the next room.
"There was no chance for panic or anything," said Jim Bland, chairman of the bingo event for Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8679. "It all happened awful fast. I didn't even get upset until it was over with."

After Pam Anderson won $6000 at bingo, she drove home, only to get shot by Benton Johnson who tought he deserved the prize more than she.
When Pam -mother of nine- went home she didn't notice that she was being followed by Johnson and three more persons. When she was trying to enter her home they confronted her. When she refused to hand over the money, Johnson shot her.

The president of Eagles Lodge 687 in Washington, Pa., was calling bingo just after 8 p.m. Monday when a man strolled into the crowded lodge wearing a "Scream" mask.
"I saw him walk in, and he just looked like someone coming to play bingo who happened to be wearing a Halloween costume,'' Mowl said.

The Tennessee Lottery gave away its sixth $1 million prize yesterday to a pair of longtime friends who described themselves as "Thelma and Louise."
The Middle Tennessee women, who have been friends since 1982, had played the lottery together for years. But best friends Frances Davenport of Woodbury and Janis Goodwin, a Nashville native, knew this time was different.
